Learn More About Mark J. Miller
My Name Is Mark Miller, I am a licensed clinical counselor with the State of New Mexico since 2001. I graduated from New Mexico State University in 1995 with a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling and Guidance. I earned a diploma in Christian Ministries from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.
Since July 2005, I have worked extensively with individuals and couples struggling with addictions, depression, spirituality, conflicts in relationships, premarital preparation and other issues related to their Christian journey. I have extensive experience in working with the adult Severely Disabled Mentally Ill, the substance abuse and addictions population, and the corrections population.
I also completed all requirements to become certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. This process has involved a 4-day externship training, a 1-day advanced externship, four 2-day trainings over a period of one year and extensive supervision by licensed supervisors in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I also completed a 3 year training program in somatic experiencing (in model for resolving trauma), under the guidance of Steven Hoskinson.
